Public Adjuster

American Remodeling Corporation is hiring a licensed Public Adjuster to support homeowners through the insurance claims process. This full time, in person role fits a knowledgeable professional who can inspect residential properties, document damage, and advocate for fair settlements with insurance carriers. The Public Adjuster works directly with homeowners from the first inspection through claim resolution, project closeout, and final payment.

Service Area

This position serves homeowners throughout Maryland. Public Adjusters report to our Jessup, Maryland office each workday and travel daily to assigned residential properties and job sites.

Position Overview

The Public Adjuster role is part of the American Remodeling Corporation field operations team. You will conduct onsite inspections, collect photos, notes, and measurements, review insurance policies, and manage claim submissions. The position requires confident homeowner communication, organized documentation, and professional negotiations with insurance adjusters. Public Adjusters also work with internal teams to align approved scopes of work with actual repair needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged residential properties
  • Climb ladders and walk roofs safely to assess conditions
  • Accurately document losses with measurements and photos
  • Review homeowner insurance policies for coverage
  • Prepare and submit claims documentation
  • Build estimates in Xactimate or company software
  • Represent the homeowner during adjuster meetings
  • File and manage supplemental claims
  • Maintain detailed CRM records
  • Serve as the point of contact for the homeowner
  • Coordinate with ARC sales and production teams
  • Manage claims from inspection to payment

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Public Adjuster in Maryland
  • Previous experience handling residential property damage claims
  • Organized and detail focused work habits
  • Confidence communicating with homeowners
  • Ability to manage multiple open claims
  • Experience with Xactimate estimating software
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Bilingual applicants are preferred

Compensation

This role typically earns $80K+ dollars per year on a professional Public Adjuster pay scale. Compensation details are reviewed individually based on experience and licensing.
